“MMA fragments 02: TILE” features tiles, which are a material that we see every day in public spaces and buildings. The issue will consider the important essence of craftsmanship, which lies between industry and crafts, through our visit to Tajimi in Gifu Prefecture, a major tile production area, and a discussion with Yui Nakao, curator at the National Crafts Museum in Kanazawa, along with photographs taken by photographer Mayumi Hosokura.
